Muchos son los alumnos que nos preguntan sobre como prepararse el Speaking a la hora de hacer los exámenes de Cambridge de nivel FCE y CAE o aquellos que quieren hacer algún otro examen como los de la EOI o IELTS.
Hoy os queremos dar tips sobre frases útiles o Useful phrases para no repetir constantemente las mismas oraciones. Os las hemos separado tanto en las partes del Speaking como en las distintas opiniones, estar de acuerdo o en desacuerdo, comparar, llegar a una conclusión…
Frases para memorizar
En los exámenes es importante que prepares con antelación lo que quieres decir, aunque recuerda que cuando hagas el speaking debes hablar fluido ya que soltar todo lo que te has memorizado de carrerilla sonaría bastante raro, tiene que ser natural. Debes desarrollar los puntos principales y uniéndolos mediante frases hechas y conectores, en estos niveles esperan que seas capaz de hablar oraciones completas y compuestas, por lo que evita las oraciones cortas o en las que contestes simplemente si o no. Aquí tienes algunas expresiones útiles para memorizar, ya que dan fluidez y seguridad ya que de este modo sabes que tanto la pronunciación como la estructura gramatical son correctas.
Asking for clarification:
- Sorry, I’m not sure what you mean.
- I don’t understand.
- Can you say that again, please?
- Can I ask a question?
- Do you want me to…?
- I’m not quite sure what I have to do.
Correcting yourself:
- What I meant was…
- What I’m trying to say is…
- What I mean is…
(PART 2) Compare and contrast:
- They both show/have/etc.
- The top one looks more… than the bottom one.
- The one on the left shows/has… but the one on the right is…
- It’s quite difficult to compare them.
- This picture reminds me of…
- This one is not as… …as the other one.
- They’re both quite similar …
- There are… in both photographs.
- Both of them have got… in them.
Expressing likes, dislikes:
- I (really) like/love/enjoy…

Expressing your opinions, feelings, reactions:
